Did you know that each county has an enterprise board that offers various forms of financial assistance to businesses?
If you are selling a product or service and want to establish a website to promote it, then your local enterprise board or county council may be able to offer you some financial assistance to offset the cost of it.
We can help you put together a proposal for your website.
Note: You must complete the application prior to any expenditure on your website.

Description:
Financial assistance is available for businesses in Dublin City to develop a commercial website.

Extended Description:
Dublin City Enterprise Board (EB) provides financial assistance through a number of schemes with the aim of encouraging and supporting the development of start up and growing businesses. The Board's central objective is to facilitate the creation and maintenance of sustainable jobs and establish a true enterprise culture in Dublin.
The Commercial Website Development Grant is provided for small businesses operating in Dublin to create or develop a website for commercial use.
This fund is not part of the Board's core funding.
Latest Information:
Application deadlines for 2009 are as follows:
* 10 February.
* 19 May.
* 18 August.
* 27 October.
Decisions on applications will be made within one month of the relevant deadline.
Key Criteria:
In order to be eligible for support, businesses must:
* Be located in Dublin City (Dublin 1 to Dublin 12, with parts of Dublin 13, 17 and 20).
* Employ less than ten people.
* Be involved in manufacturing or internationally traded services (details of overseas clients must be included in the application).
* Be in the commercial sphere.
* Be capable of attaining economic viability.
* Be a full time commercial business.
* Have the capacity for growth and job creation.
* Have potential for export (this must be outlines in the application).
* Demonstrate a commercial market for their proposed product or service.
* Have adequate overall finance for the project.
Applications will be assessed on the following:
* The commercialisation of the business through the internet.
* The export potential of the project.
* The quality of the proposal.
* Innovation.
To receive funding under this scheme, successful applicants must take part in the Dublin City Enterprise Board 'Website Development' training course.
Eligible Expenditure:
Eligible costs under this fund include:
* Domain name registration.
* Hosting.
* Website development.
* eCommerce applications (online payment systems).
Restrictions:
Dublin City EB cannot support:
* Retail outlets, consultancy, distribution and professional services (including consultancies).
* Projects that would involve the displacement of existing jobs or business, such as builders, hairdressers, cafes, pubs, hotels, general printers, construction and trades.
* Conferences and Seminars
* Projects which are contrary to public policy.
* Projects that are eligible for assistance from other State Agencies of EU funded Operational Programmes.
* Existing firms that already have an established relationship with Enterprise Ireland or IDA.
* Projects that involve primary agricultural production.
* Organisations that employ more than ten people.
* Projects comprising importation and distribution.
* Projects which are not dependent on securing funding in order to go ahead.
* Mobile assets such as cars, vans, laptops, and mobile machinery.
Photography and internet promotion (for example, Google adverts) are not eligible for funding under this scheme.
Only certain third party costs qualify for funding.
Funding is not awarded retrospectively.

Payment Procedure:
Any grant must be claimed within a three month period from being approved.
Application Procedure:
Before submitting an application, applicants must discuss their business idea with Dublin City EB and check their eligibility for grant support.
Application forms are available from the Dublin City EB website and must be submitted in hard copy - emailed proposals are ineligible.
