Website Design - Our Process
We use a streamlined process based on the best practices in modern website design and web development. By effectively managing time and resources we help our clients get the best web services at an unmatched price. Our process is divided into four phases. You are involved in each phase to insure we achieve your desired goals.
Consult with You our client
At the start of each website project we thoroughly discuss all of your web site's goals, its required features, design's style and purpose. We suggest the best courses of action, advice on web site functionality and propose strategies that would best communicate your web site's ideas to your target audience. You may also provide us with parts of the content and photos required for the web site.
Prepare Static Mockups
Based on our discussions we prepare at least one mockup image showing the suggested web site layout, content elements and visual style. This mockup is basically a graphical composition where all elements can easily be manipulated, rearranged and styled. If parts of the content or photos are still not provided we replace them with temporary photographs or text
Mockup Revisions
After we get your input on the initial mockup we make revisions based on your requests and preferences. Together with you we work to build the optimal layout and design style for your new web site. During this phase all details are discussed and tweaked before building the web site.
Code Page In XHTML/CSS
Finally when everything is conceptually clear and you are happy with the proposed mockup we start developing the actual web pages. The mockup is edited and cut into web friendly images that will be used as parts of the pages. We build an XHTML template with proper markup structure that adheres to the World Wide Web Consortium standards. We use a standards compliant styling technique( CSS ) to style the pages so they look just like the mockups and so that all the pages on your website will be laid out the same way. Content (both text copy and photos) are provided by you. We insert the provided content into the template to create your web pages, or we install a custom content management system or eCommerce system for you and implement the template in it.
